The Nation

Cared for by the Missanabie Cree.

An Omushkego Cree community under Treaty 9, the Missanabie Cree waited more than a century for the land base they were promised. When the claim was finally honoured, the Nation built a home for its people on this water — first Island View Camp, then this camp on Dog Lake, and New Horizons since.

Staying here supports that work directly — and helps the camp keep a simple promise: to leave this water good enough that the next generation can love it too.

Here since time immemorial — and here for the generations still to come.
